Founder of Cultivate & Craft, Kevin Atticks, was recently elected to the Maryland Tourism Coalition (MTC) Board of Directors. MTC works to grow and support tourism throughout Maryland. Atticks is a recent past president of the organization, and after a brief hiatus from the organization he was nominated to serve another term.
“MTC is pleased to welcome Kevin Atticks back on the board,” says the organization’s executive director, Ruth Toomey. “As MTC continues to grow across the state and prepares for the 2020 legislative session, his insightfulness will be an asset to the MTC Board.”
The organization advocates for tourism-related causes, and recently took a strong stance in favor or Maryland’s beer reform legislation and increasing the state’s tourism promotion budget.
“MTC is an incredible organization which plays a critical role in supporting the state’s tourism industry,” says Atticks. “Without the revenue generated by the industry, every Marylander would pay an additional $1,100 in taxes annually.”
