A group of hemp farmers and processors have joined together to form the Maryland Hemp Coalition. Facilitated by Cultivate & Craft, the Maryland Hemp Coalition will represent the interests of the hemp industry through advocacy, educational programming and networking.
“The industry is growing at a brisk rate, and collaboration and coordination will be key to its success,” said Kevin Atticks, founder of Cultivate & Craft, and the force behind the coalition’s formation. “Our primary goal is to unify the industry to speak as one voice as regulation and legislation shape hemp’s trajectory in Maryland.”
The organization is accepting memberships—including founding memberships, available only through December 31—via hempmaryland.org.
The first activity of the organization will be an advocacy day held February 3 in Annapolis.
